Rush Limbaugh Admits That He Has Not Decided On Who To Support In The Republican Presidential Nomination

Rush Limbaugh: Mitt Romney 'Is Not A Conservative' (AUDIO) -- Huffington Post

Rush Limbaugh, on his Thursday radio broadcast, spoke bluntly about GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

"Romney is not a conservative," said Limbaugh (as pointed out by RealClearPolitics). He continued, "he's not, folks. But you can argue with me all day long on that, but he isn't." Limbaugh went on to explain that "what [Romney] has going for him is that he's not Obama," and that the former Massachusetts governor is a "seasoned" debater.

My Comment: Button line .... he will only support Mitt Romney if he is the only candidate running against Obama. Otherwise ....

Has The GOP Establishment Declared War On The Tea Party.

Rush Limbaugh: GOP Establishment Declares War On Tea Party -- Real Clear Politics

Now, this piece in the New York Times illustrates the obstacles Tea Party lawmakers are up against. All these Republican freshmen in the House, for example, this article makes it plain how difficult their job is. There's even a section in this story on compromise, the bad kind of compromise, the kind of compromise that Republicans have been known for, get along with the Democrats, please the media, show that we're not the unreasonable Tea Party types. That's what's shaking down here. The Tea Party is under assault from the Democrats and the Republican elite, and now the battle has been brought full fore in the pages of the New York Times Magazine.

My Comment: They may (or may not) have declared war on the Tea Party .... but they are certainly not opening the door for them.

Is Gov. Perry Scaring The Republican Establishment

Rick Perry Scares The Heck Out Of The Washington Establishment -- Rush Limbaugh

RUSH: Well, some of you people are gonna love hearing about this story. It's from The Politico today, by Mike Allen. And the headline of The Politico story: "GOP Elite See Daniels as 2012 Savior -- Top Republicans are increasingly convinced that President Barack Obama will be easily reelected if stronger GOP contenders do not emerge, and some are virtually begging Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels to add some excitement to the slow-starting nomination race. It’s a sign of the GOP’s straits that the party is depending on the bland, wonkish Daniels for an adrenaline boost. But interviews this week with longtime party activists and strategists," and, by the way, not one person is named in this piece. So we don't know who these Republicans speaking to Mike Allen at Politico are.

My Comment: Rush Limbaugh's analysis on the RINO movement is .... as usual .... spot on.

Rush Comments On Recent AP Approval Poll For President Obama

White House Photo, Lawrence Jackson, 5/10/11

Bam Hits The Trail With Bin Laden, Armed With Bogus AP Approval Poll -- Rush Limbaugh

RUSH: Ladies and gentlemen, we had this story yesterday -- I didn't get a chance to get to it -- but it seems that Osama Bin Laden's son, Omar Bin Laden, has issued a statement that has appeared on a couple important terrorist websites, including the New York Times. And among the complaints of Omar is that his father did not get a trial. I gotta disagree with him there, folks. He got a trial by fire. Plain as day for anybody to believe because nobody's seen it. But that's what we've been told. Now, it's a trial by fire. He got some kind of a trial, which is more than he gave the people he killed.

Obama Can Be Beaten Unless The GOP Nominates A RINO

Obama is Landslideable Beatable If GOP Doesn't Nominate a RINO -- Rush Limbaugh.

RUSH: Edwardsburg, Michigan. Brett, you're first today. Nice to have you on the EIB Network. Hello.

CALLER: Hi, Rush. It's an honor to speak with you. Mega Upton Country dittos.

RUSH: Thank you, sir.

CALLER: The media has a love affair with Obama, as you well know, and after killing Osama, I'm wondering -- you know, the only one he won in 2008 is because the media was in his corner, and I'm wondering -- that with the supposedly skyrocketing approval numbers, are Americans gonna be fooled again into thinking that he's unbeatable? I mean, I know he's beatable because I'm a dittohead, but would your average American be fooled into thinking that he's unbeatable again?

My Comment: Jerry Doyle has been saying the same thing on his radio program for the past few weeks. In fact .... he has even gone so far as to threaten to quit his progam if any of the current GOP leadership contenders win the nomination and win the Presidency. Will Rush go that far .... I hope not .... but his (and my own) concerns are justified. The Republican establishement want to put one of their own into the Presidential race .... and if they do .... President Obama will then have a better than average shot of winning again even with 9% unemployment and a depressed economy.

Why This Blog?

My Comment: I am a Canadian who .... time permitting .... has been listening to Rush Limbaugh on my computer for the past three years.

I am not a Rush baby, a ditto-head, or a fervent disciple of all things Rush .... but I do enjoy his show and the passion that he brings to it, his excellent instincts on politics, and his faith in the future and America's ability to overcome obstacles and hard times.

This blog will be a chronicle of his opinions and observations, and the opinions and comments from those who may .... or may not .... agree with him.
